- Sourcing from Smallholder Farmers: We are proud to source our herbs and spices from over 50 smallholder farmers located around Butajira in the southern highlands of rural Ethiopia. With a focus on empowering women farmers, who hold an average land holding of less than one hectare, we prioritize their contribution to our supply chain. These dedicated farmers meticulously plant, tend, and harvest crops by hand in nutrient-rich volcanic soil along the Rift Valley, situated at an altitude of approximately 7,000 feet. All our herbs and spices are grown organically without the use of pesticides or fertilizers, ensuring the highest quality and purity in every product.
